A Chinese woman was found dead this morning near the Yishun Dam, an area popularly known to local anglers.
Channel NewsAsia (CNA) reported that the police received a call at 9.45am regarding the discovery along Yishun Avenue 1.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was roped in and deployed a Red Rhino, a fire engine and an ambulance.
The woman was pronounced dead by SCDF paramedics at the scene.
At this stage, the age of the deceased and the cause of death are still unknown.
Foul play has been ruled out, but police are still investigating.
In previous cases, dead bodies have also been found in the Pandan and Bedok Reservoirs, as well as the Singapore River.
