A video of a young Brazilian girl catching flesh-eating piranhas without a net or rod has been generating buzz among netizens (see video below).
She was filmed squatting on a small jetty, dangling meat into the waters around her and once she felt the fish biting, she fearlessly pulled the bait out of the water, with the fish attached.
She then shakes them off into a bucket next to her.
Viewers are amazed at her courage of using such a simple but risky technique.
As of now, the original viral video has been played more than 64,000 times.
Piranhas are known to be vicious and dangerous, but natives of the tropical wetland region of Brazil treat these fish as a common food source.
