After a long hiatus, Fishing Paradise will open its doors to anglers once again.
As an opening act, the pond will be hosting a two-tiered competition—one for luring enthusiasts and the other for anglers who prefer to bait.
The competitions will be held separately within the same day, 20 December 2014.
The lurers will fish from 0700-1200hrs while the baiters during the 1500-2000hrs time slot.
Anglers will be judged using a point system which awards them 12-30 points according to the fish they catch (See image below for details).
To make the competition more interesting, the organisers will be releasing freshwater barramundis at 9am and 5pm, and feed the fish bread at 10am and 6pm.
As an added bonus feature, there will be two time slots where points earned per catch will be doubled: 10-11am and 6-7pm.
There will be prizes for the top three anglers who have collected the most points and they will win Fishing Paradise packages, lures and cash worth more than $1,400.
